A HOME FOR BUDDHIST FOLLOWERS

As a registered non-profit organization under the IRS' 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(2) programs, the Amitofo Buddhist Temple has received tax-exempt status.

We are currently accepting donations for the construction of a local Buddhist temple and these contributions may be fully tax-deductible.

Mission

Religious, Moral & Spiritual Growth

Why did I choose to invest time and financial resources in building a traditional Buddhist temple in the bustling city of Las Vegas? This question is often asked by friends and family, especially since I have a background in real estate. However, simply renovating a commercial building and decorating it with Buddhist symbols would not suffice.

I have a deep appreciation for the grandeur and solemnity of Buddhist temples, and many commercial buildings in Las Vegas simply did not meet my expectations.

After establishing the Amitofo Buddhist Non-Profit Association and Preparatory Committee in 2010, I searched for the perfect location for the temple. Eventually, I found a two-acre plot of land in the heart of Chinatown and used my real estate profits to purchase it, with the intention of donating it to the non-profit organization. The temple will serve as a spiritual center for the community and even draw tourists.

Many Chinese immigrants in the US face challenges such as depression, mental illness, and even suicide, often due to difficult life circumstances. Despite knowing that seeking help from a professional is necessary, many do not have access to or cannot afford therapy. That's why we believe in the ancient Chinese tradition of visiting a temple to pray for guidance and blessings. Throughout history, this practice has saved countless lives and given people the strength to create fulfilling careers.

Our goal is to emphasize the importance of cherishing the gift of life. The temple's architectural plans have been finalized and approved by the county review committee and can be viewed below.
